Thrift Shop

The largest monthly contributor to the Brother Benno Foundation is the Thrift Shop. This revenue covers the daily expenses of the Center, including administrative costs. It also pays the cost of printing and mailing our monthly newsletter, which in turn generates donations while keeping people informed about our work.

The Thrift Shop sells everyday household items, clothing for men, women, and children, and sometimes even designer clothing. They often have interesting treasures from estate sales, and they stock some used furniture. (See Furniture Sales.)

Location: 3965 Mission Avenue, Oceanside. 760-967-7505.

Days and times: Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Donations: Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to noon.

We’re sorry that we are unable to provide pick-up service, with the exception of gently used furniture.

Furniture Sales

Items range from basic household furniture at very affordable prices, to estate liquidation items that include antiques and collectibles. You never know what types of treasures you’ll find, as the inventory is always changing. The Brother Benno Thrift Shop sells some furniture, but most of our inventory is at the warehouse next to the Brother Benno Center.

Location: 3242-B Production Avenue, Oceanside.

Days and Times: Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Donations: If you’d like to donate gently used, saleable furniture or accessories, you can drop them off at the Center Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., or Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. If you live in the North County Coastal area and need to have your items picked up, please call 760-439-1244, ext. 115.

Important: Brother Benno’s does not have the resources to repair damaged or worn furniture, so only those items that are immediately saleable will be accepted. We thank you for your understanding.
